I am currently open to discussing new full-time and contract opportunities in the Visual Merchandising field.
As Visual Planning Manager for Cost Plus World Market my responsibilities included managing a talented team of Visual Planners who developed Seasonal Shops and In-Line Schematics. As a team, we created visual presentations within a ‘sample house’ and published merchandising direction to 300 CPWM stores across the country. We served as a vital liaison between the Merchant team and Store Operations. I worked directly with the Store Development team providing merchandising direction relevant to new store openings.
The focus of my career has been Visual Merchandising – beginning with display design and evolving into corporate management, training, and schematic development. My visual philosophy/experience has always been grounded and driven by ‘hands-on’ merchandising.
I graduated from San Jose State University with a BA in Art and an emphasis in sculpture. I have since taken graduate courses in Interior Design, Lighting, and Gallery Management. I have taught Visual Merchandising at West Valley Community College.
